After graduating in 1989 from Grays School of Art in Aberdeen with a BA (Hons) in Art and Design, Lorna Hewitt worked for 7 years at A and R Murray in Edinburgh, a well known family run jewellers where she developed her skills in making and stone setting individually designed pieces. She then re-located to London where she worked for such renouned jewellers as Jess James, Dower and Hall and the famed "Jeweller to the Stars' Stephen Webster, who made Madonna and Guy Richie's wedding bands as well as pieces for Michael Stipe, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez etc. In 2006 Lorna decided to move back to her home town of Edinburgh and set up her own company where the client can be involved in the creative process. Alternatively she can remodel pieces using clients old gold or platinum jewellery, incorporating them into something more wearable and yet keeping the sentiment and nostalgia of the original metal. Lorna specialises in beautifully crafted hand made bespoke jewellery.

Based in Edinburgh, Lorna Hewitt works on commissions and beautifully hand made bespoke jewellery. She specialises in engagement rings and wedding bands as well as dress rings and eternity rings, but can make any piece of jewellery you would like. For a truly individual piece, why not involve yourself in the creative process and commission Lorna to design and custom make something unique to your specifications? She also designs and creates a range of her own pieces to chose from, so if you are not sure what you are looking for you can choose from her current collection of handmade pieces, selecting the materials, precious stones and finish to reflect your personal style. She also provides a remodelling service. If you have old gold or platinum jewellery, Lorna can incorporate it into a new design or have it remodelled into a contemporary and wearable piece of jewellery.
